I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I moved with my husband and children to Washington, Utah in 1984.  I have always loved music and art.  Living here has been so great because of all the opportunities.  I learned to oil paint in High School and a few painting classes in College, along with focusing on illustration.  I love experimenting with all mediums but oil is my favorite, and I enjoy trying my hand with the palette knife, painting on all sizes of sizes of canvas.  When I joined the Washington City Arts Council a few years ago I was really motivated to paint and have enjoyed the classes offered there, and also Southern Utah Arts Council days when you can bring art to a group critique and watch demonstrations.  It is inspiring to meet other local artists at Gallery events and know that every artist has their own unique way of seeing the world.  Painting is a passion, a hobby, a joy, and for me a continual learning process.
