Ken Church | an Arrowhead Gallery Artist
The paintings of the artist Ken Church follow the beat of impressionism with an expressive quality of line, bold colors, and purposeful brush strokes.
Church moved to Tocqueville, Utah, in 2019 and discovered the landscape of Zion National Park, practically in his backyard. His fascination and inspiration with the landscape generated many trips to Zion, and his interest has expanded to include all landscapes in Southern Utah. His body of work consists of a total of 120 signed paintings, including large animal paintings, impressionist portraits, abstract music paintings, and now a new focus on landscape painting.
Church began his career as a full-time artist in June of 2020 after a long career in advertising in Los Angeles. He developed and honed the skills of television storyboard
drawing while respecting the art and influence of thoughtful and calculated design principles.
After graduating from the York School of Art in England, Church moved to the United States, where he received a scholarship to study fine art and painting at Brigham Young University in Utah. He then moved on to postgraduate studies in drawing and illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. He later graduated from the Advertising Center in Los Angeles, a two-year program that focused on concept development for the advertising industry.
Today, Church is predominately a landscape artist with a body of work currently at fifty paintings on that subject. His work is on display in commercial office buildings and in private collections throughout the world.
