Leslie Murphy | an Arrowhead Gallery Artist

Leslie started her artistic career like any child with crayons, chalk, glue and craft paper making simple creations to display in her home.  She has always loved art and feels compelled to be creative on a regular basis.

Leslie has had so much fun discovering abilities and talents she didn’t know she had.  She has experimented with calligraphy, charcoal, sculpting, photography, watercolor, color pencil and acrylic painting.  She loves the freedom of expression and feeling of accomplishment that comes with creating something beautiful by layering colors on paper and canvas.

October 2021 she entered her first exhibit at the Reds Cliffs Gallery on a dare from her husband and won first place and Honorable Mention awards.  She has since received awards at every gallery show she has entered.  Leslie currently has work on display at Gallery 873 in Kayenta and Arrowhead Gallery in St George.

Leslie has recently been asked to illustrate a children’s book and she enjoys drawing portraits in color pencil.
