Paulette Schermerhorn is a resident of Southern Utah, raised in San Antonio, Texas.  She describes her method of finding inspiration for her work in exploring possibilities in movement and finding joy in nature.  She travels extensively and seeks out the people, artistic influences and natural history to bring forth works that display all she has seen. She integrates her travel photographs into her work.

Paulette uses many elements when creating pieces, including printed fabrics, textiles, beads and thread painting to create vivid pictures that reflect the sights and feelings of her world journeys. Her work invites the viewer to become lost in the details of each piece and find an endless number of patterns and abstract natural features.
